Kink! the musical

The Production of Kink!:

Kink! is an original musical written by Edmontonian composer/writer Paul Morgan Donald. It was first produced by Pegasus Theatre at the 1999 Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival, where it played to sold out crowds in the festival's largest venue.

Out of the 110 shows at North America's largest fringe festival, it was one of the six to be heldover after the Fringe, and then the only one to do a "holdover of the holdover"!

Phase 2 of the Kink! project had a revamped script and new production, which was presented as part of Fringe Theatre Adventures mainstage season Oct. 19 to Nov. 4, 2000. It was also a part of the Edmonton Arts Council's "Theatre 6-Pack" which features six of the season's most exciting shows. Buzz was very strong on this production - even the Kink!'s pin-up style posters were a hot commodity, with posters disappearing no sooner than they were hung!

Plans for Phase 3? Bringing a little Kink! to the world! Starting with, hopefully, Toronto Ontario!
